In this episode, we will cover the story of a Christian couple from Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province—Lu Shi and Wen Ying—and their experience of continuous persecution by the CCP. In 2002, Wen Ying was arrested at a gathering. The police subjected her to brutal torture in an attempt to force her to divulge church information. They viciously smashed her lower back, buttocks, and the top of her right foot with batons, and slammed her head against the wall by her hair. A deputy director of the Public Security Bureau violently beat Wen Ying multiple times, and even sexually molested her, grabbing her breasts and rubbing his genitals against her buttocks. Furthermore, the police hung Wen Ying up in an iron cage, wrapped copper wire around both her pinkies and ears, and repeatedly shocked her for extended periods. Wen Ying was tortured to the brink of death. Afterward, the police locked her up in an administrative detention center for a month before releasing her. The torture left Wen Ying with severe lumbar disc herniation and other conditions. The electric shocks to her head also had aftereffects; she frequently suffers from brain fog, and her memory has declined significantly. She often cannot straighten her fingers because of the electric shocks. After her release, unable to bear police harassment, Wen Ying was forced to go on the run. She continued to preach the gospel, only to be targeted and hunted by the police once again. Her husband, Lu Shi, was also reported by an evil person for his belief in God and was tracked by the police for a long time. To evade arrest, the couple constantly moved, hiding from place to place. On August 21, 2023, the police forced their way into Wen Ying and Lu Shi's residence and arrested them both. In September 2024, Lu Shi and Wen Ying were both sentenced to 15 months in prison, and fined 6,000 yuan each. … Please watch this episode.
