She felt boundless envy on seeing how powerful and influential all her relatives were. Feeling like she had no more hope for her own life, she pinned her hopes on her son becoming a government official and standing out from the crowd, so she could bask in his reflected glory. In the end, however, her son became an ordinary worker. Unwilling to accept this, she searched high and low for people who could use their connections to reassign her son to a new job. However, her wish never came true. She lived in pain, with no way to dispel it. Through reading the words of God, she found the source of her pain and stopped worrying about her son's job.
