If people wish to be saved when they believe in God, what's key is whether or not they have God-fearing hearts, whether or not God has a place in their hearts, and whether or not they are able to live before God and maintain a normal relationship with God. What's crucial is whether or not people are able to practice the truth, and attain submission to God. Such are the path and conditions for being saved. If your heart is not able to live before God, if you do not often pray to God and fellowship with God, and lose the normal relationship with God, you will never be saved, for you have blockaded the path to salvation. If you do not have any relationship with God, you are walking a doomed path.

If God is not in your heart, then merely claiming you have faith and nominally believing in God is useless. No matter how gifted you are, how many words and doctrines you are able to preach, or how much you have suffered due to your belief in God, it is useless. As long as God has no place in your heart, and you do not fear God, and cannot put the slightest bit of the truth into practice, then no matter how you believe in God, it is useless, and God says, "Depart from Me, you evildoer." Such a person is classed as an evildoer because they cannot practice the truth and do not have a God-fearing heart. And so, even if you have believed in God for many years, you have nothing to do with God, and He is not your Lord or your God.

People who truly believe in God are those who accept Him as the Savior, who accept that He is the truth, the way, and the life, and who are able to sincerely expend themselves for Him and do the duty of a created being. What they experience is the work of God; what they practice are His words and the truth; and the path they walk is that of pursuing the truth. They are people who submit to the sovereignty and arrangements of God, and who follow His will. Only by believing in God like this can one be saved; if not, they will be condemned. When people believe in God, they must accept the truth, believe in Him according to His requirements, and be able to experience God's work, achieving submission to His orchestrations and arrangements; only then can they attain salvation. Whatever you do, you must not harbor wishful thinking and believe in God only to gain blessings; that is deceiving God and making deals with Him, and it will only ruin you.
